Elphie's most noticeable feature is the fact that she is Green. She has long, beautiful black hair that falls in gentle waves to midback. She usually has her hair tied up. She has prominnent cheekbones and an oval face. She has brown eyes surrounded by long, luscious lashes and perfectly arched brows. She is tall and thin with good posture, but sometimes slouches when she sits.
She is very beautiful, but her beauty isn't realized until her affair with Fiyero begins when she finds her sexuality and realizes that she is indeed, beautiful.
Attire:
Since her "death" she has spent less time dressing up to please, since she never sees anyone but Galinda, Fiyero, Liir, and scarce others. She wears black mostly, sometimes wearing deep blues and purples, once even wearing stripes! She doesn't actually wear her hat unless she is leaving the house, she hates hat-head. Though she dresses very somberly, she still has high-quality and high-fashoin clothes, thanks to her best firned, Glinda.

Elphie is very Fiery and outspoken. She is radical and involved. She also does not realize her own allure. She is very protective of her younger sister because she feels responsible for Nessa's disability, as explained in her history

History:
Elphaba is a misunderstood and unfairly loathed young woman who becomes a revolutionary and falls in love with the Winkie prince Fiyero. Elphaba forms an unlikely friendship with Galinda, the girl who would eventually be known as Glinda the Good. Elphaba was the illegitimate daughter of The Wizard of Oz, it might have been the Wizard's seduction of Melena with a magical green elixir that caused Elphaba to be "greenified." Elphaba herself carried a bottle of the elixir always with her, a fact that Galinda later remembers when confronting the Wizard with the truth of Elphaba's condition.
Elphaba was born with green skin to parents Frex and Melena, who cheated on Frex. In the book, she has a disabled younger sister, Nessarose, who grows up to become the Wicked Witch of the East, and a younger brother, Shell. Because of her condition, Elphaba is shunned by her father, who instead gives all of his love and attention to Nessarose. Elphaba's father blames her for Nessarose's condition. He reminds Elphaba that, because he was so dismayed over her green-tone, he forced Melena to take milkweed, resulting in Nessarose's condition Regardless, Elphaba is very close to and protective of her sister. She has a son named Liir, the father of Liir is Fiyero, who earlier had an affair with Elphaba. She feels bad about the murder of Fiyero's original wife, and hates that people don't believe her innocence.
